Crime In Chicago

Before I came to Chicago, I had though Chicago one of the most dangerous places from around the world. In my home country people usually link between crimes and Chicago. In fact, before coming to Chicago I though twice and no one supported me to travel there. On the other hand, some people think that it's only  exaggeration about crimes in Chicago. They believe that this bad attitude comes for producing action movies in Chicago. However, the numbers of crimes here talk obviously. According to Chicago Police Department, there were more than 520 homicide in 2011. Compared with others large cities in the USA this number is so big. Also, crimes in Chicago take place in specific communities and sides. Indeed, South Chicago is much more criminal than north. In addition, African American communities more dangerous than others communities.Generally, the situation isn't that bad. Even though, Chicago has big number of crimes, it's the third large cities in the U.S; people move to Chicago form across the status.
